Just was thinking about this today - if a s/o receives a new watch as a gift,
do any of you fantasize about a way of putting away her old and slipping
the new watch onto her wrist? I recently got my g/f a cool rose gold
xoxo watch and am thinking of how I can get her to place away her walmart
gold/black one so she'll wear the one I got for her..

just give it to her !

Tell her you got a gift for her, but that she needs to close her eyes..
Then put it on her wrist and tell her to open her eyes again

Unfortunately I already gave her the gift, just now realizing I could have done it
the way you suggested. Now I'm just trying to get her to wear it period.
