I really like that type of double-band Baby-G's.

Is Baby-G still so popular in Germany?

I don't think so.
But compared to other areas germany has a few teenage girls (I would say mostly in age 13 to 18 ) that still like especially that above shown type of watch, and the double-band Baby Gs in general.

i hate it when a good style of watch becomes unpopular. Baby G is going through the same thing as Pop Swatch did back in the early 90's

I agree. It's sad to see Baby-G go, especially the velcro straps.

I recently borrowed one of 'my' velcro strap Baby-G's to Gina, she's a model for www.watchgirls.net and www.girlsincuffs.com. I feel pretty the same disappointed that it’s so rare to see double-band Baby-Gs in UK. But some Asian girls still prefer them. I have a nice girl in my office wearing the Baby-G as on the pic.

It looks great on her tiny wrist, especially when the watch roll a bit.
