The only big thing about tiny pop star Louise Redknapp is the huge, rugged steel Rolex watch that
slides up and down her slender arm. Until something even bigger and more rugged arrives at her side,
that is. Winston, her bulldog, pads in from the next room - he weighs 5st 4lb and seems to be
entirely made up of muscle and pointed teeth. "Isn't he a cutie, isn't he a love?" Louise coos, and
stretches out a hand to stroke him (the weight of the Rolex makes her wrist go limp).
They're significant, the expensive wristwatch and the pedigree dog, because they were both presents
from her husband, the Liverpool midfield star Jamie Redknapp. "Isn't he a sweetie?" Louise sighs
again - this time about Jamie. Winston was a surprise gift for her birthday two years ago.
And the Rolex? It was a spur of the moment thing - a surprise pressie to tell her he loved her.
Actually, it takes a bit of coaxing before Louise admits this and she looks, for a moment, as if she
is about to blush.
