Those pictures are from the movie Veronica Guerin. I actually saw that movie tonight. It was very good and Cate Blanchett wore a very nice steel watch. There are several scenes where you get a glimpse of it, but only one real close up. It's during the last minutes of the movie where she is talking in a phone, holding it with her left hand (the watch hand). There are lots of pictures of her at cateblanchett.net. I'll look there for more pictures of her with that watch.
You're right, and yes, I thought it was a good film too.
I think the best scene for watch spotting is when John Gilligan is attacking her, outside his house. There are quite a few decent shots of it (the watch looks like a Breitling, which is rather expensive for a journalist.....but then, who am I to talk? )
